Tim Burton and Johnny Depp will shoot Dark Shadows in January
The new partnership between director Tim Burton with Johnny Depp, the movie "Dark Shadows," the film adaptation of the eponymous soup opera of 1966, will start to be filmed in January of 2011.The project has existed for some time and was developed by Burton and Johnny Depp's production company, Infinitum-Nihil. Seth Grahame Smith (author of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter") revised the screenplay by John August ("Big Fish").
Although many call "Dark Shadows" series, she was actually a novel, a daily soup runs displayed in daytime, which became cult to begin introducing supernatural elements in his plot. No novel had hitherto dared to abandon the cliches of romantic melodrama. The result was one of the greatest hits of the genre.
Depp has said numerous times since childhood dream of playing the role of vampire Barnabas Collins, who originally played by Jonathan Frid.
